Aroma changes over time.

Roasted beans release gases and aroma over time, and exposure to oxygen changes flavor. Grinding accelerates these changes, so one approach is to grind only what you need just before brewing.

Close the package after use.

Open the bag or container only when needed and close it securely afterward. Avoid direct sunlight, stove heat and moisture, following the product storage label. Mark purchase and opening dates to keep track of use.

Buy ground coffee in quantities that match your drinking pace. Open individual drip bags just before brewing. Use a dry spoon for instant coffee and follow the storage instructions on its packaging.

Start with an amount you can use.

Choose quantities based on your usual consumption rather than storing a large supply. Suitability for refrigeration or freezing depends on the product and packaging; check the seller instructions before changing storage temperature.
